Don't understand ?: If you are on medication that your doctor believes you need to take daily, you should not stop them. The person you need to ask this question is whoever is prescribing your medication. One drink is not going to have much effect, but larger amounts are potentially harmful. If alcohol is so important that you would stop a medicine you need, you have an alcohol problem, and should talk to your md.
