A member asked:

I have heard that it hurts when guys urine gallstones, can liver stones be eliminated by the urine or by stole?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gallstones: Can pass in the stool but they don't pass in the urine. The gallbladder connects to the small bowel via the cystic/common hepatic ducts. Stones can pass into the small bowel and then into the colon and, as such, pass in the stool. Kidney stones pass via the ureters and bladder and have no communication with the bowel.
