Can you please describe the final stage of cirrhosis of the liver?

Four (4): Cirrhosis is typically staged from 1 to 4. End-stage typically means the liver is no longer compensating even with various medical interventions and prognosis is therefore worsening. Advanced stage might mean stage 3 (or even stage 2). In practice most physicians just use a clinical prognostic score to monitor severity (such as the meld or childs-pugh scores).
