Appears normal: It sounds like it is in the normal range, although if you were to have hepatitis c (or maybe b) then the pain in the right quadrant should be evaluated.

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your AFP level is in the normal range.
