A member asked:

How do acid reflux and a stomach ulcer differ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Related sometimes: A stomach ulcer is damage to the lining of the stomach ( hole) which can bleed, transform to something chronic, or just cause pain and suffering. Pain is a trigger to reflux, but so is a bad diet with excessive exposure to caffeine, alcohol, fizzy drinks, or fats which cause excessive acid production and leakage of acid into the esophagus. Both are treatable. Seek a doctor to help you.
