No: Bv is not a sexually transmitted illness. It's an imbalance between yeast, acidophilus & BV germs that normally live inside our vaginas like we live on the earth - hopefully peacefully coexisting. When something's out of whack [illness, stress, antibiotics, fatigue], then yeast or BV germs can overgrow. Trich is sexually transmitted disease.

Absolutely not: Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease. There is only one way to catch it --- having sex with someone who has it. Bacterial vaginosis is not an std. It is an overgrowth of normal vaginal bacteria.
