No: There has been much debate on this subject, and since this forum is more for questions and answers, follow the below link for info from the american dental association: http://www.Ada.Org/1741.Aspx in most areas to advise a patient otherwise is a violation of the code of ethics. If you personally feel better having a white filling, you can always have it changed. Hope this info helps..

No: Most research finds no relationship between fillings and symptoms of mercury poisoning or other side effects. Eventually, any cavity if not treated, can lead to pain, infection, root canal and even tooth loss. See your dentist for evaluation, x-rays and treatment.
