Is there a way to help my husband get an alcohol treatment program?

Help him want it: Assuming that you have told him your concerns and he still doesn't want to go. You can try asking for couples therapy so he doesn't feel like you are blaming him. Sometimes staging an intervention with friends and family works. Remember, if he doesn't want to go he won't go. Good luck to both of you.

U cant make him want: ...To stop & u cannot make him want to drink either. If what u are asking is how to motivate him, the resistance common among alcoholics is formidable. Couples therapy can feel threatening & blaming to him. Best bet is to change yourself - attend al-anon or codependents anonymous. U will learn what u can do to stop enabling his continuing on as he has been, while feeling better about yourself.
