Can there be any similarity between deep vein thrombosis and varicocele?

No.: A deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is generally a blood clot that can potentially travel to the lung and cause a pulmonary embolism (pe), a potentially fatal event. A varicocele is an enlargement of a group of veins around the testicles which is caused by a blockage of some sort in the main vein which drains this group, causing sort of a "back up" and engorgement.

Veins differ: Varicocele is an enlarged tangled mass of veins in the spermatic cord and scrotum area. A thrombosis is a clotted deep vein in the leg.
