A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vascular Neurology: Trauma can cause bleeding in the brain sometimes referred as a clot. Dehydration and infections may increase risk of venous clots in the brain. A clotting disorder, hypertension, diabetes smoking, high cholesterol, cardiac rhythm/mechanical problems may increase a risk of clot formation. We call them strokes and symptoms can vary from headaches to weakness, numbness, speech and gait difficulties.
