I read where you can get a blood clot from sitting too long but how long?

DVT time frame: I don't believe there is a definitive time frame in regards to developing a blood clot. Many factors need to be considered; patient age, medical conditions such as obesity and heart disease, smoking history among other things. These conditions increase a persons risk of developing a blood clot.
