PE: A blood clot from your leg, also called a DVT or deep vein thrombosis, that travels to your lung can be fatal. The clot in your lungs is called a pe, or pulmonary embolism.

Yes: most lung clots (pulmonary emboli) come from the legs (deep venous thrombosis). Half of all DVT's results in PE if you look for it.
