Adult: Polycystic kidney disease is related to brain aneurysm formation. Brain aneurysms are not usually symptomatic unless they bleed or are of sufficient size to push on adjacent nerves.

Some: Aneurysms may be entirely asymptomatic for years and then bleed and do damage-which is a cerebral event= stroke. A stroke is an event with brain injury lasting over 24 hours and usually with some permanent sequellae. A stoke can be caused by aneurysm, tumor, beed, ischemia from embolism or carotid obstruction. It is a broad and more inclusive term.
