Mono restrictions: You should probably wait about 3 months because your spleen will usually become enlarged or at the least it becomes fragile after mono. If you fell, you are at increased risk for rupturing your spleen and that could be life-threatening.

Depends on situation: An estimated 80% + of young adult mono patients will run through the symptoms and recover in 3 weeks. About 10% will have a lingering form for up to 3 months.Some will have speen enlargement during the illness and some never do.The enlarged spleen may rupture in a fall so some caution is worthwhile. If you feel well after a few weeks and the doc cannot detect any spleen enlargement on exam, enjoy.
