A member asked:

Why is it that the level of sugar in diabetes not decreased even never eat such sugar foods?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Complex: Your diet might be high in carbohydrates other than sugar (ie starches) or you may have Insulin dependent diabetes where the body makes sugar from protein when not enough is eaten. In this case the Insulin must be supplied or the patient will be very ill.
