What to tell me about herniated disc surgery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Indications: If you have a herniated disc pushing on a nerve with legs symptoms, and you have failed nsaids, pt, epidural injections, with symptoms continuing greater than 6-12 weeks, then surgery may be recommended to remove portion of the disc outside of the disc space, and by so doing remove the structure pushing on the nerve. Various minimally invasive approaches are available for this type of surgery.
