Relaxation: Pain is often intensified by ones perception of it. If one spends evry hour focused on the pain and stressed about the pain the pain can be more painful. Heat, stretching, massage relaxation, watching a favorite comedy, etc are all things that can help lessen ones perception of pain. Meds work by blocking the pain proteins that cause ones nerves to fire. The 2 in combo work best.
