Blood work showed i had a slight bacterial infection, but now gone. i thought antibiotics are required for treatment?

Talk to your doctor: I assume you were not treated with antibiotics, even though your blood culture was positive. My guess would be that the germs that grew in your blood culture were thought to have come from your skin, not your blood stream. This happens quite often, and usually we repeat blood culture, and make sure that second culture does not grow any germs. Was this done in your case? If it was negative, no meds.
