A few different ways: First the area needs to be anesthetized, then a number of different modalities can be used. I use radiowave surgery, but lasers and hyfrecation can be done as well. It can also just be cut out and sutured. See a podiatrist (if it's on your foot) or a dermatologist for the best options in your particular case.

See below: An injection of anesthetic is placed around the wart & then using a scalpel a cut is made surrounding the wart. The entire wart is remove and the base is cauterized and the bandaged.
