Is soda bad for kidneys?

Maybe bad, never good: Sodas have a high acid content can make it easier for kidney stones to form. If you are drinking little water, eating lots of acidic foods, drinking soda on top of that can cause kidney stone formation, which can lead to pain and obstruction of the kidneys. Drinking soda (esp. Regular, but even diet) is never good for you. Limit consumption if possible. Moderation and balance are key!

In CKD: Most carbonated drinks have potassium and phosphate which are not good for patients with chronic kidney disease.
