A member asked:

What exactly does alkalinizing 'citro-soda' do? does it just free the stone from the kidney walls, or can it also break the stone apart? (1.4cm&1.2cm)

Alkalizes urine but: Citra-soda alkalizes the urine, which may help some UTI's. I know of no evidence that it is of any benefit in treating kidney stones. However, while more research is needed, the herbs Golden Coin Grass and Chanca Piedra are reported to help to dissolve kidney stones and are safe to try.
