A member asked:

Is it possible for zyprexa (olanzapine) to be used for bipolar depression?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Zyprexa (olanzapine) yes: Yes. However, it is not, in and of itself, an antidepressant, and is typically not thought to have antidepressant effects by itself. It will stabilize mania, but it might make one fat along the way.
