A member asked:

Is it safe to drive after water breaks or would i have time to wait 30 minutes vs 15 drive to hospital?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

There's time, but Go: Water breaking can be the first sign of labor. It is is usually long process, and for first-timers, can take many hours until birth of the infant. There is time to get to the hospital, however, don't wait. Best to go asap to prevent any complications. It's wise to have a birth plan in advance to coordinate logistics of the day. I recommend someone else driving to ensure your safety and comfort.
