It happens: By definition young infants have weak abdominal muscles and use their breathing muscle (grunting or fussing ) sometimes to generate the force needed to poop. It likely bothers you more than the kid. It is not constipation if it is soft and requires no treatment. Let the kid sort it out. It improves with age.
