My uric acid test gave a result of 0.75 which i believe is high & my triglycerides were 2.9 with chol/hdl ratio at 4.6. is it cause for concern ? thks

Slightly high all.: Usually uric acid is measured in mg/dl. Normal values range between 3.5 and 7.2 mg/dl. If pt has hx of gout or elevated uric acid in the past 7.5. Mg/ dl is not too much. Sometime leves go up with diuretics. The ideal ratio for the body should be 3.5:1 or below. Yes: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests.
