Depends: Robotic prostate surgery has become popular because of perceived less complications, shorter hospital stays, smaller incisions though survival is probably similar to older "open" surgery. There needs to be a detailed discussion regarding these issues with the surgeon and usually most surgeries can be done in 3-4 weeks unless there is an emergency sometimes.
