A member asked:

What do doctors do to diagnose ovarian cysts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually ultrasound.: Most ovarian cysts are diagnosed by ultrasound. This is a noninvasive radiologic test. It is safer than ct, without radiation and is both cheaper than ct and mri. Ovarian cysts, however, may be found on ct if the patient was referrred for a ct study for nonspecific abdominal or pelvic pain symptoms.
