Probably not harmful: Small study implied that higher ala levels in subjects taking flax seed improved their blood pressure. It was a very high amount of flax seed oil. Would not expect a flax seed supplement to be harmful, although typically is more thought to improve lipid levels. Would definitely keep an accurate BP log before, during, and after a trial of taking flaxseed oil.
