Should i be concerned about taking cholesterol medication?

Yes: You should be concerned about the fact that your cholesterol is abnormal enough to warrant medication. Most of the treatments are well tolerated; however if you were to modify your diet and possibly your weight you most likely would not need the medication in the first place. Check with your doctor to discuss.

Cholesterol: More concern should be directed to a high cholesterol as for every 1mg elevation over 200 increases the risk of coronary artery disease by 1%. Discuss side effects with your doctor.
