1-2 years, or longer: Tan lines can take 1-2 years to blend back into the rest of the skin color. Parts of the body that don't get sun may take even longer in order to blend in with parts of the body that get tanned annually. It varies so much from person to person, that it is hard to predict by a doctor. However, a person himself usually knows how long, from past experience.
