It's a big list : Let me start off by saying that untreated bipolar disorder carries a very high risk of death. Whether that is from suicide, accidents, drug use, or many other causes relating directly or indirectly to the illness. I believe in some studies it was over 26% lifetime mortality risk. Which drops down dramatically to 1% which is comparable to the general population when it is treated.
