Can you please tell me why everyone thinks they have bipolar disorder?

Who is everyone?: Who is everyone? Psychiatric disorders don't have diagnostic tests. Also their names often have a different meaning in lay vernacular. For example, anyone who is going through a moody phase might be called bipolar by their friends, but it doesn't mean they have diagnosis of bipolar disorder.
