Ill effects of GABA: Neurontin (gabapentin) modulates excitatory neurotransmitter release and the side effects can be burdensome. These include the more common dizziness, somnolence, fatigue, swelling of the legs, nausea/vomiting, hostility tremor, blurred vision, headache and constipation to name but a few.
