Had my discogram today... the pain was unbearable.. 10/10 pain scale... how long will this last...what should i take for pain?

After diskogram: After these diagnostic injections, expect some pain for several days from aggravation of your problem--that's the purpose of the test after all. Narcotic meds are helpful afterward. Also, your doc may inject a steroid medication and/or local anesthetic at the same time which should help lessen the pain. Steroid medications may take a couple days. Rest, ice/heat, nsaid's also may help.
