After diskogram: After these diagnostic injections, expect some pain for several days from aggravation of your problem--that's the purpose if the test after all. Narcotic meds are helpful afterward. Also, your doc may inject a steroid medication and/or local anesthetic at the same time which should help lessen the pain.
