The purpose of the : Test is to find the source of your pain by recreating it over the same location with the same quality as the disc is injected. If it is a normal disc you will feel pressure. If a disc that is somewhat abnormal , maybe an ache but a disc or discs that are the source of your pain should be an exact reproduction temporarily. This is done under local anesthesia with occ. Use of some sedation.
