Strengthening: Maintain good strength (quads especially - straight leg raises are a good start)) and flexibility about the knee. Avoid impact activities such as running, especially if you have had prior problems with your knee.

Avoid doing too much too quickly. Avoid going all out too infrequently (weekend warrior)5. Keep well hydrated . 6. Avoid mind altering substances
