Your symptoms do not suggest HIV. You know it is dumb to not be tested for fear of the result. It isn't the test that gives someone HIV; you have it or you don't. When testing is delayed for fear of the result, anxiety always improves after finally doing it, even if positive. The uncertainty is more anxiety producing than knowing for sure, even if positive. Just do it.
