See your doctor.: A change in urine color could be related to any number of situations, normal or not. Some medications and foods such as beets can alter the color of urine, but so can certain medical issues. Pain on voiding can be normal such as can occur after ejaculation, but a urinary tract infection can also cause pain. Your doctor can check urine tests to see if you need specific treatment.
