How serious is pleural and parenchymal scarring particularly involving the apices. no focal consolidations, effusions, or pneumothorax?

Pulmonary function testing would let you know if your lungs are functioning normally or not and that would determine how much the scarring is affecting you. If you have normal pulmonary function testing and a normal pulse ox, then the scarring is likely minimal. You should be evaluated by a lung doctor so these tests can be done and interpreted. A lung doctor would be able to then say prognosis.

That particular X-Ray finding is most often caused by a tuberculosis infection that you successfully fought off in the past. If so, a TB skin test will be positive. The pulmonologist will evaluate & advise you.
