My chest x-ray showed persistent bibasilar streaky opacities, but no pleural effusion or pneumothorax, what does that mean?

It is an abnormal finding but the importance of this finding depends on the medical history, physical examination and blood test. In general, we usually encounter this CXR in patient with atelectasis +/- pneumonia. Good luck.
