The symptoms and duration of influenza are no different from year to year, except that after vaccination or repeat infection with the same strain of virus tend to be milder. Basically various combinations of sore throat, sniffles, cough, headache, fever and body aches. Without treatment (e.g. Tamiflu if you have the type A flu virus), duration usually is 7-10 days. Get vaccinated ever year!
