What's the cause ?: Cellulitis is basically an inflammation (itis) of the skin and soft tissues. It can be caused by many things including sunburn (radiation), trauma (sprained ankle) or poor vein circulation (stasis dermatitis). It need not be caused by bacteria. Drinking coffee is unrelated to it. If you have repeated episodes of this, get to a wound care or vascular specialist, the diagnoses you have is wrong.

Probably not harmful: Drinking coffee is not going to worsen leg cellulitis directly, although the extra volume of liquid ingested could worsen leg edema (fluid) which could complicate cellulitis therapy.
