Are urine dipsticks different for children vs. adults? my three year old had positive for nitrates on a dipstick test i used during pregnancy. her pee is cloudy and we are going through potty training. i called pediatrician?

No. Testing positive for nitrite is virtually diagnostic of UTI. However, urine culture is often done to identify the offending organism and its sensitivity to different antibiotics.
