Is she sleeping well at night? Sometimes, at the beginning of a school year, when sleeping later in the morning is no longer an option, teenagers don’t get enough sleep at night because they are staying up too late. Having a specific bedtime and ensuring adequate sleep at night is the first step to see if this solves the problem. If it doesn’t, she should see a doctor. Good luck!

Not normal for a 14 year old. Need to ask many questions. Is she actually sleeping at night and getting enough sleep? Is she anxious or depressed? Is there another medical problem? Need to talk with her and have your doctor see her as well and determine the cause.
