Ive been on the birth control patch ella for over a year now . today i woke up with my patch still on but i got my period . this has never happened to me before ive only ever got it a couple days after i take off my patch. is this normal?

Yes, it's still normal to have vaginal bleeding (period) on contraceptive patch without interruption although ovulation likely won't occur. Take care.
