Mad cow and similar health problems are extremely rare, even among the heaviest beef or red meat eaters. Unless there has been a specific health warning, such as a particular batch of beef or a known outbreak in the area where the cattle were raised, such food choices make no difference. There are good health reasons to limit red meat or to be a vegetarian, but usually this isn't one oof them.
