A member asked:

Following on from a previous question , if i dont use painkillers as i know it can make things worse , what else could cause constant severe headaches classed as chronic migraine . i know a trigger is rebound headaches but thats not me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Therefore, based upon your current post, medication overuse headache is not a provocative trigger. Other mechanisms can be reactions to food, supplements, recreational drugs, red wine, aged cheeses, peanuts, monosodium glutamate, aspartame, nitrites, pickled foods, etc. A neurologist could select a drug to break up your pattern.
