A member asked:

Is 10.4 calcium corrected to 10.3 high in a 26 year old woman? could it be caused by a tight tourniquet kept on for over a minute (as this is what happened when the blood was drawn)?

This calcium level is a very small amount over the top normal for most labs. Usually, if a tourniquet is kept on too long, the labs can be off-especially the potassium level. So, if this calcium level is concerning, then the labs can be repeated to see if it is indeed an issue. Good luck!
