A member asked:

In a case where fertilization has recently occurred, could the use of miconazole for a yeast infection harm the embryo? if so, is there another medication or treatment that would not?

No risk, no worry. Medications place in the vagina cannot ascend up into the genital tract in amounts that have any effect on an embryo or fetus; and miconazole itself is safe in pregnancy.
